adding nightmode to a cab

does anyone know how or can tell me how to add nightmode to a train so that it lights up inside at night?

You would need to create a new mesh which would consist of areas of light where open spaces in the original mesh are (such as windows for instance) and then reference the night mode mesh in the config file.

As with previous advice in another thread, take a look at an existing asset to find out more

so will i need to add attachment point for this one?

No....you need to create a new mesh which you are unlikely to be able to do uless the original creator provides you with the original Gmax/Blender files. The easiest way to see what is required is to find a building that has night mode and look at it in content creator or Pev's mesh viewer. Check out the 'default' mesh and the 'night mode' mesh and you will see that the latter is mostly made up of white windows (indicating the light behind them) in the positions of the window openings in the default mesh
