Add-On

Get over it
I 'm getting a pop up that says: :An add-on for this website failed to run. Check the security settings in Internet Options for potential conflicts". Everything in Internet Options is enabled except those that are considered not safe if you enable them, they're highlighted in pink. All my add-ons are enabled. I'm using Explorer 8 and running XP with the latest patch.

Anyone know what add-on is trying to run? Thanks.

That happens to me occasionally also. Sometimes I get an alert from either MalwareBytes scanner, or Avast! Webshield that there is a bad IP address in a thread that I'm viewing. I just shake it off as it turns out to be nothing at all (false positive).

Shane - what is an advert? I'm able to continue with with whatever I'm doing, it mostly happens here in the forum, but it really is annoying. It happens after every post that I visit.

"Advert" = "Advertisement". Usually it is in the form of a small window on a web page. If the faulty window coding is in a window tht is always on every page, then you will get the pop-up every time you go to a new page, or refresh the current page.

Most browsers have a setting where you can not allow pop-ups to appear.
