Acela Express!!!

Ok, it doesn't really take me that long to...

Hey c'mon you guys give the lad a chance, he's only 12 years old, ...Cheerz. ex-railwayman.

Ok ex-railwayman, two things... 1st, it doesn't really take me that long to 'do my business' ;) and 2nd if the young fellow likes Trainz, Trains and girls then I'll cut him some slack!:D
But listen Heaven7, you have got to get some patience. Work around problems, get creative and try to make it work, hang on to your project for the NEC! Do it as best you can now and upgrade it in the future. That's that way we have all had to do it. Part of the pleasure of this sim is MAKING it do what you want.

We will be watching your progress. Good Luck and Cheers!

Dave

Not To Be a Critic Heaven7, but have you taken in the serious city aspect your trying to model?
All these routes you mention travel through vast cities, that, for them to be accurately modeled, take time and consideration to important buildings that could catch the viewers eye.
I tell this to all beginners. START SMALL. trust me, if you start small, you can practice until you perfect your skills. Dont try to jump the Gun and do all these massive commuter and passenger routes. Try a small segment of the line to test your skills. Remember, most routes in real life arent flat trainz baseboards:hehe:
dont worry, i got this same critisism when i was new. (hey, im only 14..:p )
Just try small segiments at a time, and slowly work, dont hurriedly build things just to finish them. Good Routes come from slow building.
Cheers.

Hello heaven7
In real life Providence station is half underground and is four or five tracks (I forget) and New London is three tracks. Except for New York Penn Station none of the tracks on the NEC have 3rd rails.

Here's Providence

Thanks but I can't find and good stations. If you know some large and pretty stations with 2-6 tracks can you post them.

NYC Penn doesn't have third rail on all its tracks.Just the ones LIRR uses and possibly some on Amtrak's track just in the event and LIRR platfrom is closed.
I do know that NJT doesn't have 3rd rail on its track in penn station,it might pass over some 3rd rail but doesn't need it.
