Anyone know if there is some way to print out driver & library commands?
With 30+ drivers it is becoming almost impossible to keep track.:(

Thanks, Darrell

What exactly do you mean by 'driver & library commands'? Like a list of available commands, what drivers have which commands in their queue?

If what you're thinking of is actually printing out a paper with your current list of commands, trainz unfortunately doesn't have any ability whatsoever to connect to your printer. Unless there is some kind of third-party utility for that sort of thing, the best I can think of would just be jotting it down on a notepad or typing it all out in MS Word.

If you haven't already, you may wanna take a look at the Schedule Library Rule. It lets you compile multiple driver commands together into a sort of 'named meta-command' that you can assign to drivers on the fly (basically like a multi-command copy/paste)

There has to be some file that trainz stores the information. If we could find that then you could print the file.

Just an assumption, but it's likely buried in some sort of Saved Variables database file in the session asset, however I bet it's really just a sorted list of KUIDs to the respective driver command assets, which would require one to determine which KUID is what command. It's certainly doable, but it would require something along the lines of a PEVSoft or HoG-like utility.

Although come to think of it, if there was some kind of rule that generates a selectable textual table in a property window, it may be possible to copy, then past the text to Notepad or something, then print it from there.

Darrell;
I like to make a worksheet in Excel to list the session commands for each train and driver. I also indicate the number of cars and length in the consist (overkill :hehe: ). If you or any other reader want a sample for your route send me a request by email. This method does take time to enter the data by hand, but you might be using a written list anyway and it is easier and neater to edit as you change the command lists.
