In this country, there are two types of employees that are very difficult to fire regardless of ineptness or dishonesty.....a civil servant employee and a union employee.....you've got the double whammy here. Their jobs are secure...:n:

@ Sourdough - It's the same here. Nobody has the balls to fire deadwood on the off chance that they might, maybe, possibly, just take them to a tribunal! I was private sector all my life but moved to the civil service in the last year. I still can't get over the amount of wasters that manage to stay in their jobs. Maybe I should move to HR?
