i don't know how to use either of those. the title was just something to grab peoples attention.
Trainz has a multitude of expansion to indulge the creative mind, just like real model railroading.
You can build routes, and then operate them. You can develop scenarios for yourself, or for others. You can design trees, buildings, vehicles or many other things to include in your empire.
Then you could always delve into the design and building of locomotives and wagons, or passenger cars.
When you really think about it, Trainz has more ways of getting involved than almost any form of real modelling.
Try downloading Gmax, or Blender, they are free. Open them, and be welcomed to a new world. Just give it a go!! Don't just say I don't know how to use these things. Civilisation would grind to a halt if we all took that attitude. You have nothing to lose, and everything to gain.
And when you do have a go, write back to the forum here. You will find many people who will help, and guide you along the way. In other words, become a part of the community, and try to contribute.
Soon, you will have people asking you how to do this and that, and getting requests for a number of things.
