A question about surveyor

Hi all! Its been a while since I've posted here! Anyway, I have a question on getting google maps into surveyor. I saw in another post that you can google image track into surveyor, but I'm not sure how to do this. The route I want to post it into in Kalamazoo-Chicago and Kalamazoo-Detroit (Merged). It is by fishlipsatwork. If anyone can help, that would be great! --Bluewater

Using "Basemaps" it would be difficult to get the 1km x 1km Google Earth image exactly the right size, using the MS Snipping tool in your PC accessories.

If you have the HOG Textures, all the road, rail, rivers should be showing where to place assets.

I find that measuring distances using the Google Earth/Ruler/Line or Path, and approximating those distances in Trainz is close enough.

I also find that running Trainz windowed allows one to see maps, and surf the Internet, while double tasking in surveyor.

The only way I can see the HOG textures is by going into map view in surveyor. Is that what you mean?

Your HOG textures should be showing in Surveyor, right on the terrain ... Do you have HOG Textures downloaded, and committed ?
