A question about Content Manager

As you know, it's been a long time, so I can't remember if this was a thing or not!

Is it possible in Content Manager to "disable" assets, so that they no longer show up in the lists?
If so, does it still cache them/acknowledge them in any way?

We're talking TS2010 here, because that's the latest version I have, and I won't be buying T:ANE just yet.
I know there's a lot of built-in stuff that I won't be using for one reason or another, and I wouldn't mind disabling/hiding them.

I think you can disable them for in game, as some assets are/have seen better days since Trainz 1.3, UTC, and TRS04

Right click on item > Disable

Disabling only stops them being listed in Surveyor they are still available for routes that need them.

Thanks guys.

Yes, disabling them in Surveyor is what I was after.
It'll make things much easier when building my route.

Time to install TS2010 again, just to get my hand in while I wait for T:ANE.

That's a thought. Hope the same disabling can be done in T:ANE.
Apparently, the new Content Manager is a little different.

Very different, but you can disable and enable assets. It's also very quick. For example, bringing up a (separate) list of dependencies for a route such as ECML Kings Cross takes less than a second for a route with 7601 dependencies.

Cheers mate.
That's good to know.

And it sounds like CM is finally nearing what we always wanted it to be.
Nice!
