TRS2006 runs pretty fair on my GF Toshiba Satellite 105 laptop (which is really a notebook, and has Integrated Graphics). I am lead to believe that you can not install a video card in an Integrated Graphics el' cheepo laptop ? ! ?
I was looking at a $1249 Asus 17" I7, 8Gb RAM, 1Tb hard drive, 2Gb video card laptop ... but to run Trainz ? What an astronomical outlay of moolah !!!
A cheepo desktop, with a 300watt Power Supply, can have a 1Gb 300watt video card installed and run Trainz great ... retrofitting a desktop PC can be done for much less than $500.
Building routes on an el' cheepo Integrated Graphic laptop is a great idear' ... and actual running of the routes on a desktop PC that has a good video card.
My GF el' cheepo laptop creates routes fantasticly in TRS2006 ... then I run and test the TRS2006 routes on my Desktop PC using TS10.
Creating routes on an expensive laptop, that has a great video card ... is like making a living delivering Pizza in the inner city in a $100,000 Porsche.
Use an old clunker for creating routes in TRS2006 ... and save the high quality desktop for high speed driving the Autobahn (TS10, TS12).
