A few questions

I have a few questions. What is a spline and what is it used for and how is it used? The message on my Montana Rail Link Version still says Old Mfx Lib Version even though I installed the new version but the message still keeps popping up in driver mode. How do I get rid of it? How do I stop the tracks from looking like they're floating, (i.e. when I run trains in driver mode, sometimes the baseboards aren't there at first.) With the smart signals from www.jointedrail.com, is there a way that I can change the indications from speed signalling to route signalling? And with the smart signal searchlights, the number 5 head signal, there is no number plate which there should be to make it a permissive signal. Can this be corrected as well? Oh and can I install TRS 2004 and 2010 (I have the engineers edition of TRS 2010) a 2 disc-set, and still use the Montana Rail Link Route? Is there an updated MFX version for TRS 2009, or will the 2004-2006 one work with 2009?

A spline is a scenery item that repeats what it displays in sections to be used when making linear objects such as fences, powerlines or roads. Some can have adverse effects on frame rates, depending on Trainz version and how the spline is made. I don't know about the Mfx Lib. The floating tracks may be due to an insufficient load time, not enough system memory present, or an underpowered PC. I don't know about the signals from JR, perhaps you could post on their forums to ask that question. You can install 2004, and 2010 together and use the MRL route, but you may have to fix some content per version. Again, I don't know about the MFX.

MFX (Multi-FX) is a script created by wulf_9 and Co. at TPR that provide smoke effects for hoppers when being loaded and unloaded. MFX2 is a revision that accomodates assigned running numbers, smoke effects for both open and covered hoppers and air hose sound effects.
