750mm Freelance NG Module

Roy, I think that the road is "YARN L2 DL0 -Si -Sh" (or something like that :p), and if so, is on the DLS. ;)

Without a doubt an absolutely top-quality route and screenshots, Andy. Excellent work. :D

Regards.

Hi Roy - it's more than a diorama, it is drive-able. My rig is nice, but by no means top-of-the-line, but I am getting frame rates in the mid-30s in TS10 SP3 and I reckon anything over 20 is playable :) It should run faster on better machines in TS12.

Retro is correct, the road is a YARN asset from the DLS. The 'shack' is Russian content - a decommissioned rail wagon, Kuid 478358:1025. I have spent 1/2 an hour trying to find the source without success. If (OK - when) I release this thing content is going to be a night-mare LOL

I need to sink that track a bit deeper into the road...

Thanks Andrew - I have to say I am enjoying the freedom of 'freelancing' more than anything I have ever done in Trainz...

I love freelancing. I'm working on a prototype route and i'm starting to hate it...trying to make it look and feel right is giving me serious burnout. I've got 2 or 3 freelance routes currently in the works, and i love it. I love the ability to build to my heart's desire, dreaming up some feature then seeing it come to reality minutes later. It can be very liberating, as i'm sure andy is finding:D

enough ranting for now...just had to say that.

Hi All: I too like freelancing..What it does for me it gets my creative juices rolling..Remember the guy that said "Happy Accidents"..I like to try new ways of doing terrain etc..Just to see if I can get out of it and have something new..You might be surprised of what you can achive..

Thanks Andy

When i said Diorama I meant not only still picture alike showcase but some kind of activities as you mentioned.
Absolutely beautiful and thanks for the info.

Roy:cool:

Still missing a few dependencies for the tracks, may have a go at redownloading and reinstalling. Wish I spoke Russian!

Cheers

Wish I spoke Russian!

Google Toolbar does! Also I managed to find pretty much every missing dep for all the Russian stuff I downloaded by googling the kuid. Mostly forum links all over Europe, again Google T'bar to the rescue.

If you are seriously stuck, drop me an email via my profile...

Andy ;)

It's obvious one can't be away a few days, or you miss something.

Marvellous shots again Andy.

Ah, the joy of freelancing. :hehe:

Greetings from sunny Amsterdam,

Jan

Speechless Andy. Simply stunning work :)

If you did release this I could happily spent an eternity looking for all the bits and pieces to see this in its entirety. Well done mate.

Cheers

Trent

G'day Andy!

Looking good! Just the stuff I like to see! :udrool: I've downloaded the rolling stock, but I can't find the missing kuids anywhere. Not even with Google. Any idea where they are located?

Cheers! :)

Jake.

Hi Jake

Very sure that all the required dependencies are packed with each piece of rolling stock. Some of the cdp's won't execute into Trainz because they have a superscript character in the file name, but re-naming the cdps after extracting from the rar fixes that. Re-name them to anything you like. One piece of rollingstock wouldn't extract, winrar reports a corrupt rar file.

I have only downloaded one route from the site, Denlog's beautiful little 'Dzyakino' module. Every single non-DLS dependency is packed in the three downloads on this page. Very clever way to solve the 'where do you get it' riddle...

Andy ;)
