20ft and 40 ft Containers

Can anyone please tell me where 20 ft and 40 ft containers can be unloaded, apart from the port?
I would have thought that they could be unloaded, as well as loaded at a container station, but apparently this is not the case!
I am using TRS2004.

Hello Ian,

Are you in AI mode?? Did you use the 'Unload' command for the driver??

Also, is your container depot set up to consume the 40ft Containers? If it's not consuming any, then it may not have the space available for the containers that the train has arrived with, therefore it will not unload any. You should be able to amend the consumption statistics by clicking your mouse on the depot accordingly.
Using the basic and advanced industry tracks, you can load/unload any products anywhere on your route, in essence.

Hi,

20ft and 40ft Containers can only be unloaded at the Seaport, this was the only industry that was made to consume them.

However, you can setup an M.I.N (Multiple Industry New) if you are using TRS2006 to consume them, just place some buildings next to the track to make any industry you want...

Edit: forget that, you are using TRS2004, sorry you are stuck.

I am using TRS2006 and use the basic LARS INDUSTRIAL RAIL to load and unload ALL SIZES containers. I find the Lars Industrial Rail is one of the handiest industries to use. It's one of my favorites!

Using LARS IndustRail you can do all sorts of wonderful things with all sorts of containers:
