2006 - use 2009 items?

Although I have 2009, I find there are far less "design items" available and have stuck with 2006, which has always worked brilliantly. Having said that, there are a few 2009+ items that I would like to use, which when downloaded do not work. Is there away to edit these to make them available for my 2006 scenarios. Any advice appreciated. Thanks JULES

That's to be expected. Some TS2009 items can be backdated by altering the trainz-build, but it's not guaranteed to work. Some content built for TS2009 simply will not work in a lower version.
