2 track to 1

Hi,,,,could someone have the answer to this please.
I have started laying down a double track and at some point I want to join on a single, but try as I may I cant get it to join and provide a switch lever.
Am I trying to do the impossible?

Stop laying double short of the proposed single section, switch to single track, run 1 track through. Back to double track stub and run 1 from there onto your single section, or vice versa.

thanks fran1, BTW is there any reason that I cant get DLS to work? do I have to have a FCT as I dont remember having one a couple years ago when I last used this as there was a guage thing that I had that kept 2 single tracks together but I cant find it and as I cant use DLS I cant get it.

You need a first class ticket to access the DLS now if you only have older versions of the game like 2006 and 2004.

A FCT comes in handy whatever version you have, wouldn't be without one.

Ok ,,,,I hear what you are saying, my next question is, should I go for t2010,? I mean is the update well worth it, does it run better etc,?

Emphatically, absolutely yes. No comparison between them.
Just make sure your system specs are over the recommended, ignore the minimum.

All I can say is, I,m not sorry I upgraded to 2010. I do have a few issues with it but you can say that about any version. There are some excellent routes for it and right now I,m modifying WHOO Megaroute off the DLS

mmm i did thsi all the time,,,,,,,,,, on my lay outs,,,, in 06 10 or 12,,
just lay single track on each side of double track then join....
