Well, let's see 1400 content assets to download, I got 300 downloaded yesterday , but couldn't download any so far today... Maybe I hit some kinda download limit? Anyhow , assuming I do get another 300 downloaded today ... 4.66666666667 -1 more days to go to be able to play a game ... (number rounded to the next microsecond or so) ..Gives me plenty of time to say things like...
Time to get a new patch ready for us, please !!!!!!!!
Help?

There is no requirement to download updates to be able to play the game. If the program is installed properly to build 49922 and your computer will handle it, the game will run without any updates.

Hi Bill , thanks for your quick reply,
this may be true , but most Routes you download won't run without the asset updates..
I know these guys are busy with creating software and stuff, still I would love to see some kind of patches come out every 6 months or so that most of the asset updates are done for us.

With all do respect, it seems to me that there are two separate concepts being conflated in this thread. Content updates and the patch, while not entirely unrelated, are not the same thing, and I doubt very much that the patch will update any contents.

What the patch will do is to update the game software itself, and while the updates may cause assets, particularly assets which did not conform to the established creation standards in some way,

I think there are two separate concepts being conflated here, the idea of the patch, and the idea of content updates. While the two are not unrelated, neither are they the same thing, The patch changes the game software itself, while the content updates make changes to assets that users may choose to incorporate in routes. Now it may be that some of the content updates may be required to fix content which does not conform to the new requirements of the game, and in that sense, the patch forces the update, but in other cases, requirements that have always been part of the standard may not have been enforced, so some assets which were not in compliance with the standards were accepted formerly, but are not now.

I doubt very much that the patch will include content updates (though the fact that I've been wrong at least once before, means that I may be wrong this time, too). After the patch, you'll still have the remaining assets to update.
