I bet you a tenner it will be worse then TRS2006.
Ill take you up on that bet.
There are so many bugs in 06 they will won't solve them all in 09, theres just too many.
When the game is eventually releaesed I'll bet there will be a whole page of threads with problems with the game.
"I bet you a tenner it will be worse then TRS2006."
I don't think so, 3 years of effort since 06 and you think it will be worse?
I think so, How many years of development was there between TRS2006 and TRS2004? look what happened there.
I love your confidence and optimism Remilliard but if the bet is open to all comers, you're going to lose a lot of money
I'll certainly take the bet on.
Tony
Hi, Tony, why should we have any confidence in trainz? I spent around £30 on TRS2006 and it has been a waste of money, I dont think i've even had 2 hours use of it without something going wrong.
We were told that TRS2006 would be better than TRS2004... erm whatever. There are those on the forum who are so arrogant as to say that because they havent had any problems so there aren't any and they have the nerve to blame the end user. See the post below
Here go the "knockers" - most of the past problems with TRS 2006 have been self inflicted by users not following install instructions etc. As always there will be the few who will looking forward to the opportunity to complain and create masses of useless posts about problems which do not exist for the majority of Trainzers.
The old saying regarding "don't blame the tools" certainly applies in a lot of cases over the past years.
I for one am looking forward to the release of TRS 2009 and I am confident that with due care and use the program will give as much - if not more - satisfaction than the previous excellent productions.
I now wait for the inevitable pessimistic response.
I followed the instructions when TRS2006 came out, ive tried installing it loads of times, still not WORKING!!!!! You cant blame it on the end users computer, you cant blame it on the end user! I install stuff all the time, I've installed about 40 games since TRS2006 came out, guess what, they all installed and I didn't even have to read the instructions.
Actually, It isnt even the install of TRS2006 thats the problem, its everything else. I thought the web based download helper of TRS2004 was a pain in the backside, how wrong I was.
I, too, will have to agree with the positive side of this thread. As a '09 beta tester, things are looking pretty good. I'm an '04 lover, tried '06 then went back to '04 and haven't bought another Auran product since. But, I have found '09 to be a pleasant newcomer.
I believe they may be on the right track for once. (Pun intended.)
Didn't the TRS2006 beta testers say all was fine?
I notice your one of these people that never fill in their details in the profile option.
Very brave.
So what, filling out your profile isn't a mandatory requirement is it? Its a choice. I've filled out my profile on lots of sites, just haven't found the need to fill it in on here so
MAC address blocking, IP address blocking, there are loads of ways.
Doesn't work mate, trust me. If someone wants to get back onto your site so bad to stir trouble, they will.
I still can't believe it though, in this day and age people are getting silenced for having opinions.
Damn I wish there were spacecraft available, Id love to get away from earth, its a hell hole.
Back on to TRS2009, why are there so many echos of the TRS2006 beta stage?
"everything seems ok", "its a big step forward"....
What can we be so optimistic about when the last time Auran promised big it ended in disaster for many users. So what is there to be optimistic about?
I personally felt really let down when i got trs2006.
Ha what a suprise CMP still isn't working!!! Ron_Smith dont go blaming me! i followed the instructions and many posts on this forums, could you provide some assistance now even though I have read the instructions? Pointing the blame at the user is easy....
