I was shocked no one has ever made copper products (copper pipes for plumbing, copper circuits for PCBs, or even copper wire spools for electrical industries etc) in Trainz. There is copper ore as a product load, but no processing exists nor does a final product, and yes I have looked. Due to...
Then there's not much advice to give. Something broke on your map and the fix doesn't appeal. What more do you want? Trainz is f'd in many ways because they keep changing things that worked over the years. That's what I keep reading on these forums. You know the good ol days.
Either we...
Tonight I found a mistake with a turntable. The track connected to the stubs rather than the outer point. This caused the AI not being able to find the path. Took me 30 minutes to figure that one.
Another thing I noticed is my AI driver would randomly stop at a track marker than reverse...
Yeah I've read that thing so many times, but the stuff is 7 years old and doesn't work for my situation. It's useless for my needs. I'm just giving up at this point I am not cut out for programming this GD crap. It should not be this f'ing hard, but clearly I am just so GD stupid with this...
Considering the cluster f I am dealing with the session rules after I completely f'd everything up, I'm not gonna mess with anything related to adding audio. I am beyond pissed off right now and am actually ready to break stuff. Yes this game does that to me, and at 50 years old this is NOT good.
All loads can be changed just by removing them. You don't have to go through the config.txt file to do it. You run the risk of breaking something (ask me how I know lol).
Just select the well car, open it's properties and you'll see the list of what it currently accepts. Anything you don't...
That's pretty epic. I read there is a way to call an audio file, but I'm no programmer. I'm still sorting out the navigation rules. I messed up so now I have to rework everything. I hate when I break something that was working.
Thanks for the insight.
I do need more of the ordered list. In my mind train movements are done one at a time in order. The engineer always waits for permission to continue (even while in motion a driver calls out signals).
That's how I was thinking I was setting it up. As realistic as...
Something I have noticed in that navigation point rule page is the trigger is not in an ordered list nor is it indented. The children rules are. I wonder now if that makes a difference in the behavior?
My order is:
List
Navigation Display
Trigger Check
Set Junctions
Message Popup...
All I mean is the icon for the navigation display must be placed above the trigger check icon. What I wish we had was some type of preview window for visual representation. You can't see what results you are getting until you go into driver. Now I get why it can take hours and hours of...
I think the last couple of updates nerfed PF trees from rendering the level of detail (LOD) properly. When the first batch was released on the DLS they worked really well, and looked supererb. Now I have to be really close to them before they appear normal.
I do wish they had full season...
Trainz acts a lot like Windows when you don't go close it out properly, and I've had it where Trainz becomes so spastic it won't even load the game properly. If you can close to where the session or route pages are you can just exit without issue, but if you exit from within your route/session...
