Did you grab the PDF file CDE provides for this hump yard you put together? That will explain the way for using the commands and triggers. Do you have all of the assets required for this to work? MSGSapper has a really cool auto decoupler track asset if you don't want to manually decouple.
Follow the KISS (Keep it Simple Stupid) rule when you are starting out. It will help you focus, stay on track (maybe the pun is intended), you will develop your own style of building, practice, practice, practice, and never fall in love with your designs (as you get better you'll change your...
The Plant Factory trees I use do not have a 4 season cycle (though they change color in the Fall months). I found this out when I set my route to December and all all of the trees went back to Summer green colors. The ones I used to use had full season (green, fall colors, bare branches in...
I use a computer I built 15 years ago Ivy Bridge Intel at 4.3 GHz per core, 16 GB DDR3, Samsung 1 TB EVO SSD (partitioned to 500GB for Steam games), and an old WD Blue HDD, the GPU is a Gigabyte RX 6600 Eagle, and I am on Linux Mint 22.2 (zara) using the latest Glorious Eggroll custom Proton...
Most are no longer used to local game saves and backing up like it was not too long ago. Everyone relies on the cloud (for absolutely stupid reasons as we've found out with Cloudfare and AWS recently) as the safety net. Not everyone comprehends this because the people helping have zero...
I've noticed that the shape of the radius is similar to the crescendo and decrescendo hairpin symbols used in music. That seems to be the problem as it approaches and departs. The slowdown happens at the apex center of TM, and only gradually increases speed just past the center most point. To...
SQL-Lite is a poor performer for a game like Trainz, it would be better if the MariaDB was used, but that might have other inherit problems.
@JCitron The fact that the R/W is hit excessively hard is why I get so worried about ruining my drive. No games should be pushing R/W that hard unless we...
The slowdown is definitely there for me, but maybe it is not a thing for Plus players? I think the AI get's too confused when too many TMs are on the map, which says it needs an overhaul again.
Most times I just set up a "fake" crossings with no traffic roads, or if it is a rural area it...
It doesn't work, because I already tried it a few hours ago. Water is still aqua. The only way that the water changed for me was from within the TurfFX editor, but due to it locking up my game I have to suffer with fake water. The only work around at the older and tacky water splines of yore.
A thing I can't stand about trackmarks is the AI will slow down at it makes it's way through it (the radi to less than 1 meter). This happens despite using invisible speed boards, and all of the commands I have tested still have the same results. I can confirm that trackmarks lag the heck out...
