Love the new VIA Canadian content, especially since I rode on it earlier this year. However I ran into a few bugs with the trainset I hope you guys can sort out & patch. I sent a longer thing to your contact form on your website a while back, but figured I post the 2 big bugs here too:
1. All...
N3V doesn't make the content that the database is scanning; they only make the game. Users like you & I make the content, so it's up to the users that make the content to fix the content when it is broken.
Unless the errors are causing a problem with the game or the content I'm trying to use, I ignore them. There are a handful of errors that aren't really errors, they're flagged that way for uploading to the DLS. Warnings can be ignored entirely.
I just play the game, if something is acting up...
The current L track is roughly in place - at the moment just floating mostly in the air & no stations. 103th is in phase 2 (diagram in 1st post); so my RLE decision will be made with that phase.
A bit of an update, not much to show. I got a new job a little while ago, so have been settling into that & haven't been able to work on the route. Now that I've gotten settled into a routine, work can resume on the route. So fear not! It's not dead! I don't have any screenshots to share, most...
I have a model for the IC Highliners, but getting it into game is beyond my skillset.
FYI I've started anew job, so had to take a bit of a hiatus on the route while I get settled in. Once the dust clears, then I'll be back at it.
The Trainz forum software has the technology, it's just turned off because it costs N3V more money to host images. Cheaper to have you host your images elsewhere (remember n3v is a business, their purpose is to make money).
If you reset your computer, presumably all your files are gone, not just your Trainz stuff... then yes you'd need to restart over, but then you'd need to do that for everything.
If all you did was force close Trainz, just do a database repair.
Trackwork for stage 1 is almost complete, got it all laid down to 67th St... although there are still adjustments to make and the last mile or so to do.
