When I create a basemap of city streets using Google Earth photos the streets tend to be skewed and unparalleled when I begin to place the buildings. Does anyone have a suggestion as to how to create more reliable basemaps from Google Earth?

Like an idiot I deleted my user file where apparently all of my carefully created routes existed. I have tried every method I know of to retrieve it, to no avail. I am devastated by this stupid move since I spent the last year creating some 20+ routes that included carefully created scenery...
