I reduced the file size of the Main West route by converting baseboards away from the track to 10m grid. Boards that have track are 5m grid as it is better for sculpting terrain. Saved about 800mb from that whopper. TurfFX only has a small size overhead of about 100mb per layer.

At the other end of the route, Georges Plains (during a framerate test, removed 40% of eucalypts in one poor section - now almost 30fps average Perthville to Newbridge)

I definitely prefer the modern TRS22 version, with far better graphics and less database rebuilds, also a lot better performance. Content Manager Plus was clunky to use compared to the current one and having the Content Store on the launcher is a far more convenient way to download DLC.
I ran...
I always save to my computer, then upload to the gallery later. My computer takes 15 or so seconds to save and upload the screenshot to the gallery and on inspection of a few shots on the gallery, it seems direct uploading is the only method which currently works.
Even with 5m or 10m grid and more textures available with multi pass rendering, I dont think I would ever have used or needed more than 16 separate textures on a 720x720m tile/baseboard over the hundreds of baseboards I have textured.
I think Chris definitely has his wires crossed and thinks it...
