That computer would need a new video card added to it run TS10 and it would run badly due to the CPU. You would need more like $800.

That one would still need a graphics card upgrade. Try to find one with an ATI 5550 or nVidia GT 220 or above.

The cheapest half-decent computers that could work for Trainz that I've found are:

$609.99 CyberpowerPC Gamer Ultra 2053 with AMD Athlon II X4 630 (2.8 GHz quad core), 4 GB DDR3, 500 GB hard drive, and ATI Radeon HD 5670

And if you think you can afford another hundred dollars, you can get one with a very slightly faster processor and much better graphics:

iBuyPower Gamer Power 549D3 with AMD Athlon II X4 635 (2.9 GHz quad core), same 4 GB DDR3 and 500 GB hard drive, but comes with ATI Radeon HD 5770 graphics

Those two would be good to go right out of the box (no upgrades needed to play Trainz well). And you could always get a 1TB hard drive later on if you find yourself running out of room.

Both of those Work i like them....now another question is: Is that "Newegg.com" place trusted?:o:o i don't want to be ripped off....Ok 709$ i think i can afford.....all tho i may haft to hold off on 2010 if i get that....Well lets see, Keep the ideas rolling in. DR:wave:

Oh yeah, it can be totally trusted. I've bought many computer parts there (as I'm sure others here on the forum have), and they're completely reliable. They also have one of the best return policies out there. No worries when you buy from them.

My laptop cost $1047.28. It is a 2009 Dell Inspiron 1545 with windows vista, and intel pentium. It is running 32, not 64 so i can listen to music and do other stuff while i am on the simulator. I have trainz classics and trainz 2006. It runs smoothly on both simulators as long as i keep the detail descent. Not going ballistic. The ultimate gaming computer is the alienware. I believe they range from $700-$4000. My best bet is to get a dell. Just look at the specs and price and you should be fine.:)

Ok now that may work too......Now I'm stuck in between a rock and a hard place...:hehe::o...Oh wait mabby not....:hehe:...Well I'm going to have a better look at that place and see. DR:wave:

EDIT: reading that step by step tutorial, building a computer is the way to go!! Thanks again Trainz community!!!!

Frankly I would just build my own computer, hang onto what you got for a little longer, to save a little more money. Then build a higher end computer from scratch. Doesn't need to be a NASA computer high end but certainly better then any prebuilt machine you can get(not including ibuypower and alienware)

Ok now the question is witch OS shuid i get?
The one's i can think of: Windows 7-64? Windows-46 (the other one i don't know:confused:)? Or the out dated Windows XP?:hehe: just asking. DR

You can't go wrong with Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit. I have it on all my home computers and it's plenty stable & reliable (except for user error... :o)
