Hurray, we are online again....

I don't know about you but I was getting withdrawal symptoms by not able to view the forum. Well, I guess, till it shuts down next time again, I still would like to know what happened?

Cheers

Hi VinnyBarb
The ISP for our servers experienced technical issues on Sunday morning (AU time), which meant that the forums were offline. These issues were resolved at about 10:30 AU-EDT today.

Thank you Zec, very appreciated. Gee.. if one's routine of the day is broken, by not viewing the forum, all is not quite the same.

Cheers

Sign up over at Trainsim.com as a backup....

LOL, there's just not much material over there. I did check out some nice screenshot threads of MSTS stuff, and some great fictional lines...... it's just not the same. Glad we're up and running again! I figured Monday morning would have us back up again. Glad Australian Monday morning is so much earlier than here in the States!

Hmmm I think i will go with what ED said :hehe:

Amazing how one misses the forum and all that goes with it....shows it is good - all is forgiven when it comes back on ...:) Only real bad things is all the wear and tear on my keyboard & system trying to find out whether the problem is on my side.. Half the trouble is mine though, never read about the maintenance issue...
advice about the backup taken as well thanks.

If you can go to Google, and can go to other websites, but the Trainz forum does not display, then you can conclude that it is not your PC connection, as you can rest assured that the Trainz Forum was down.

In theory yes, but until you can deduce that, or at least think that far after the panic has set in, that's next to impossible.

At the same time the forums went down, we also had an ISP issue at my house. I spent a good part of Saturday trying to figure out what went on with my internet connection, and then had a forum issue on top of that! I just love it when there are two or more problems on the same issue.

I hear you all on the withdrawal symptoms. I went crazy trying to figure out why the forums weren't there after I got back online! I really thought the end of the world had come!

I blame Ex-railwayman for this. He wished the forums a happy birthday having crashed 6 yrs ago. I think he was tempting fate. (No disrespect intended Steve, just a bit of fun).
