Why are these assets not packaged in TRS22?

Ambling on the slow line
The following assets are packaged as 'payware' in TRS19.
<kuid:523:19723418> DriverBobD
<kuid:523:19723446> DriverLindsay
<kuid:661281:75017> Tree Broadleaf 4 Lib
<kuid2:661281:44274:1> TRS19 Trk Jarrah 6 - Library
<kuid2:661281:44270:1> TRS19 Trk Jarrah 6 - Chairs-Right - Seasonal
<kuid2:661281:44269:1> TRS19 Trk Jarrah 6 - Chairs-Left - Seasonal
<kuid2:661281:44271:1> TRS19 Trk Jarrah 6 - Rail-Left - Seasonal
<kuid2:661281:44272:1> TRS19 Trk Jarrah 6 - Rail-Right - Seasonal
<kuid2:661281:44273:1> TRS19 Trk Jarrah 6 - Sleepers - Seasonal
<kuid2:661281:44293:1> TRS19 Trk Jarrah 7 - Library
<kuid2:661281:44288:1> TRS19 Trk Jarrah 7 - Chairs-Left - Seasonal
<kuid2:661281:44289:1> TRS19 Trk Jarrah 7 - Chairs-Right - Seasonal
<kuid2:661281:44290:1> TRS19 Trk Jarrah 7 - Rail-Left - Seasonal
<kuid2:661281:44291:1> TRS19 Trk Jarrah 7 - Rail-Right - Seasonal
<kuid2:661281:44292:1> TRS19 Trk Jarrah 7 - Sleepers - Seasonal
I have no idea why they're 'payware' - broadleaf trees and Jarrah procedural track seem pretty basic to me - but that means they're locked and I can't transfer them over to TRS22 and now I've got the dreaded 'missing dependencies' all over my new installation. Interestingly this didn't seem to be a problem in TRS22 Gold. Any ideas how I can get these assets for TRS22?

Paul

EDIT: And can I add how irritating it is to see a whole load of Auran/N3V assets marked as 'faulty' largely because texture.txt files are missing. Consequently a whole load of my routes are now marked red (they weren't in TRS19 or TRS22 Gold). The offending assets are:
<kuid2:523:1972799:1> Downtown Building 02
<kuid2:523:1972817:1> Downtown Streetlight
<kuid2:523:19723857:1> PBR Gravel Trk Wood 02
<kuid2:523:19723049:1> Tree Sycamore 01
<kuid:523:19723433> Itareus
<kuid:523:19723436> DriverJD
<kuid:523:1972834> Industrial Pipes 12
<kuid:523:19723435> JD
<kuid2:523:19723870:1> PBR Gravel Trk Wood 01
<kuid2:523:19723087:1> Plant BackyardGrass 01
<kuid2:523:19723069:1> Tree FraserFir 01
<kuid2:523:19723060:1> Tree RiverBirch 01

I can only show what I see in Trainz Plus.

All those in the first list are "Packaged" in Trainz Plus as well.
All of those in the second list are also "Packaged" in Trainz Plus but none are showing as "Faulty"

If you have transferred the originals, as "Packaged" assets, from TRS19 to TRS22 using .cdp files then the explanation is simple. "Packaged" assets are treated the same as "Built-in" and "Base" assets. Their JPG/PNG/TGA/etc graphic files are stored as highly compressed .texture files and cannot be copied across to another version of Trainz.

Actually I copied the 'local' and 'original' folders from my TRS Plus Gold installation over to my TRS22 installation as I thought these would be the most comparable. So I didn't touch my TRS19 folder. Ho hum, Trainz has been a game of 'hunt the kuid' for as long as I've been in it, so no change there. But still cannot understand why N3V jarrah track and broadleaf trees aren't packaged into TRS22. That just seems bizarre.

They may have been but you replaced the folders as an import. This deleted the original installed folders.
<kuid2:60850:89101:9> AWSLib installed in 2021 as packaged.

Thanks for responses. What actually sorted it was downloading a whole load of routes from the Content Store which brought their packaged assets with them and therefore (largely) resolved the missing dependencies issue. But it means I've got a whole load of other packaged assets I didn't really want so now my installation is hugely bloated!

Can you highlight and click content in the upper ribbon and select "containing packages" or similar and let us know what SC or TDD numbers are reported?

For the 1st list the containing packages are:-
822.tzarc
sc490.tzarc

For the 2nd list the containing packages are:-
651.tzarc
sc491f_1
sc491f_2
sc491f_4

Those will be the packages of interest. The wiki has a list of them and their corresponding names to make finding them easier, should one wish to uninstall or install them, or just identify them as potential dependancy routes.

(sc491 is big so its split into letter suffixed packages)

I'm not seeing a "TRS19 extra content" package

In the Content Store (from the Trainz Launcher) under Purchased there is a package named "TRS22 - Additional Content Package 3" as well as "Additional TANE assets for TRS19".

If it is not installed, search under "Store".

Hi All
Something that might help clear this up a bit. Packages that are in folders, rather than a single 'tzarc' file, will have been packaged under the original DLC system for TANE. These packages used a very basic system to set what was 'payware'; specifically if the asset was not on the DLS then it was marked as payware. Note this also applies to some of the earlier 'tzarc' DLCs as well from memory, but the majority of DLCs installed as 'tzarc' files will be under the newer system now.

For newer DLC packs, only assets specified by the creator as being payware are marked as payware (everything else in the DLC pack would be marked packaged); however until such a time as older DLC packs get rebuilt under the new system (likely due to the DLC pack receiving an update), they would still be using the old system.

As a few have noted, if you are seeing builtin, packaged, or packaged/payware assets marked as faulty, then these should normally be able to be resolved by reverting the asset to original. Please keep in mind that these assets cannot be transferred or shared directly between Trainz installs; if you need to install them separately then you will need to install them from their original source (be it the DLS, or the 3rd party website they are on). If they are exclusive to the DLC pack, then you'd need to install the DLC pack.

Thanks for the clarification. All three additional content packages for TRS22 are marked as 'purchased' when I check the content store. All three are identified as being built-in to TRS22.

What gets me is not only that a whole load of assets that originally came with TANE have to be re-downloaded, but that Download Station is missing a whole load of former assets while containing a large number of "illegal" ones, i.e. those with kuid numbers below 3500.
On a seperate note, why does Developer "cache" obsolete assets rather than delete them?

Honestly I don't get why the most of the Superliners are only for Trainz Gold for some reason
Perhaps it is one of the benefits of being a Gold Class member? I see nothing wrong with that as long as (most/all??) Gold Class offerings, eventually, become available to all and Gold Class members get other newer exclusive "goodies". It is one legitimate way to make money and keep N3V in business.
