stop changing weather

Looking to stop rain. TS12.
Searched the Forum - 500 threads for weather and 498 for rain.
After a couple of hours searching for an answer, I need help.

In Routes - Environment - Weather, I set the slider in the middle between rain and snow.
In Edit Session, I set Weather Type to Clear and Weather Mode to No Change.
Save it all.
I start the Session and after a few minutes it rains.
I don't want it to!
What am I missing?
Thanks
Stuart.

Do this in the session and not the route its self and you should be all set. Another way is to change the settings in the Quick Drive menu.

Thanks John.
I have tried all those including the Quick Drive which I my usual way of starting a Session after Route modifications.
Trying to change Environments in the Route was a try-anything move.
Nothing seems to stop the weather changing.

Check that you haven't enabled the change weather rule (I can't remember exactly what it's called but it's similar to that) which will allow variations in weather throughout your drive.

Yup. I understand. Changing stuff while the trains are in motion can be bit trying. I usually pause the simulator when I do stuff like that.

Sorry for not helping right away. Editing the session should fix this though.

Couldn't find any weather change rule. Anyone know where it is?
I did try the Startup Options and set it to no change and clear weather.
Checked the Session start up.
Surprise - It was raining at the start.
(Don't know what the Startup Options were supposed to do!)

Set it to clear weather with no change, saved it all - started the Session - and it started to snow!

Hi,

I would not bother with "quick drive". Just make a session, add whatever you like to drive to it.

Add this game rule to the session:
Weather,<kuid:-3:10089>

Be sure it is below the "Start-up" session.

Edit it and make sure it is on "Clear" with "No" changeability.

That should do it. If that does not do it, check your build number as you probably did not patch your game.

Thanks for solving the problem.
I didn't use the kuid you suggested because when I read your comment about the position I remembered to check the position of Rules in the Edit Session list.
I moved the start up options to the top and the problem disappeared.
Thanks for the comment.
Stuart.
