Show off your reskins!

I wouldn't really call it a reskin, because all it is is a cheap copy/paste job. I decided to conduct a little experiment so see what would happen if I tried to copy Trainz Forge's ATSF SD9 textures to the chop-nose SD9, creating an SD24. Basically, all I did was change the numbers and move the stripe on the nose down.

It's not perfect, but it does the job. (And yes, I'm aware that the trucks are blue.)

Thanks guys. I may do more numbers at a later date, and I might even try to do one from scratch in the post-'72 scheme.

Got bored for an hour and decided to make some more FEC stuff (of course). GECX #3000 and a really really bad rendition of an LNG tender. FEC is currently in the process of refitting their entire fleet of ES44C4's to LNG. I think this is the first railroad to go full LNG ish. Only the ES44's are getting it, as the rest of the roster is like....30 GP's and 10-15 SD40's.

Yes, I know the Trucks (bogies) are inaccurate.
Note: If anyone likes the paint schemes of these engines and would like to download one I would recommend you look at JR's Regional locomotives under "payware." JR has better versions of two of these locos.

Ok, this is a long one, and picture heavy.

My newest project: the Union Pacific DDA40X. The final plan is to have 4 variations of the DDA40X. So far only 2 out of 4 variants are complete. The eventual plan is to add a 1980's variant and a weathered version to the group. You can change the number of the DDA40X, the SD40-2's however can not be numbered.

First up is a clean, brand new DDA40X, as they appeared upon completion:

Second, #6936 as she appears today as part of the UP Heritage Fleet:

To go with them I skinned four SD40-2 locomotives. These are the early Trainz models and although the quality may not be has high, they still get the job done. (Plus the colors match and the units looks awesome all together.)

There are two variations of the model. UP #1586 and UP #3105 represent the appearance of the SD40-2's in the late 70's to early 80's, while #8000 and #3656 are more akin to the appearance of units from the early 70's.
