scenery disappears

I encountered the following after about an hour of playing, bit by bit the scenery disappears leaving the consist driving on a blue background. Is there a way to redraw the screen?

I've had this happen before and it was some content that had become corrupted and causing this issue among other like random crashing to the desktop.
