Learn how to lay perfect radius curves.

Learn how to assemble "FT 15 Degee 250m Radius" track, to lay perfect radius.

Learn when and how to use the hold/don't hold-Shift key when laying track, so it don't join like mangenets.

Straighten tracks on both the lead in, and lead out of a Curve, "S" Curve, and turnouts.

Learn the metric system, and learn how to measure and adjust track heights and terrain by typing in metric numerals.

Make your mainline gradients @ 1% or less. Only Saluda Grade is @ 4%

Don't make jagged pointy Swiss Alp mountains, and don't place gigantic redwood sequioas, in Pennsylvania.

Extensive over use of grass, trees, and ALL splines (including track) adversly effecst framerates.

Hold the [ , or ] keys to constantly spin your dirrection wheel when laying textures, so as to blur them, to avoid arrays.

Rotate trees and vary their heights, to eliminate the Flinstones repetitive background look.

When saving a route, "Save As", and rename it, might save your work.

And lastly, never ever run a BL2 :mop: :p:mop:I abskalootly hatzga them, and speedtwees ! (speed tumbleweeds are OK though, on Derrmy's and socalwb909 routes).

Thanks here my plan for the route the grade at the steeps is 2.5% the lenght is over 200 miles with horseshoe curves, loops, 2 tunnles loops and some hairpin loop length of 10 miles on a 1% grade.

Gauge is stranded

I will try to dig up a photo from Model Railroader magazine. There was a trackplan that went from sea level to hundereds of feet in the air, repetivively looping over top of all the several loops below, all on a 5' x 10' area. It was a steep canyon RR, with lots of John Allen style Gorre & Daphitid RR type bridges and wild eccentric scenery, and 90% of the trackage as hidden in the looping tunnel scenery.

There is also the CN-Britsh Columbia-Spiral Loops Kicking-Horse Pass: http://s525.photobucket.com/albums/.../?action=view&current=KickingHorsePassWIP.mp4
