This method of programming the trains to/from portals is available
in TZ 2009, it works like time table but you can also chose which train you want to exit and the seqence of operations, I have tried it out and it works OK.

So, you are saying that the Central Portal Control Rule works as intended in 2009?

I use the Portal Timetable Rule in both 2006 and 2009. IMHO, I like it better than the Central Portal Control Rule, but that is only my opinion.

I am using both on one layout just to X check how they compare, they both work well,
The only advantage of CPCR is you can decide which trains appear and in what order, maybe its possible to do that in timetable, but I aint got round to that yet, still programin my own chip!!!!

Yes, you can do that with the Portal Timetable Rule. You can set the following settings.

1. Which train it will use - You can even change the consist if you're using saved consists.
2. Which portal the train will appear from.
3. What time the train appears.
4. Set the commands for each train.
5. Assign the driver to each train or leave it blank and they are random.
