Model car photography by Michael Paul Smith

This guy sure does some amazing stuff! I love all the old cars, I don't think any of them are ugly.

The first person to inevitably cross my mind when seeing these pictures was of course you Deane! :D
(Okay, there are some more fine car builders in Trainz: kree8tivit, jayholland, Lothar Hake, arraial... thanks to all of them at this point)

The technique to use the real world as a backdrop is nothing new of course, but I haven't seen anything that perfect before.

I agree, the Packard Hawk (along with the Studebaker Golden Hawk) was no beauty, whereas the basic 4th generation Studebaker Champion was looking much better in my opinion.
But I like the predecessor 3rd generation Champions, especially the two door cars with wraparound rear window http://www.flickr.com/photos/24796741@N05/3683986479/

The Edsel http://www.flickr.com/photos/24796741@N05/4236848113/ is no beauty either if you ask me.
