Help? TANE Won't Run!

Asking advance patience for my advanced lack of technical knowledge, but I was running TrainZ relative well before, bought TANE, and now it clearly doesn't work. I have read back through some of the previous threads and my question has probably been answered before, but lack the technical 'connection' to apply the discussions that I have seen to my specific situation.

I don't mind spending a few hundred dollars for an upgrade, so if a single component would allow me to run the program, advice would be much appreciated. Hoping this is everything you need:

Dell Desktop XPS 8300
Intel i5-2300 Processor at 2.8 ghz
8 GB Ram
64 Bit
Windows 7
Nvidia GeForce GT420, 4 MB Ram
Direct x 11

Advance thanks for advice. I like the program but have some practical monetary limits about how much I"m willing to invest to upgrade or even replace a machine that really does everything else I need more than adequately.

Some more information would be helpful, "TANE Won't Run" is a bit vague as to the actual problem.

Has TANE run at all before on your system?

How does it "not run?" How far can you get before getting issues? can you get to the launcher?

Have you updated TANE at all?

Have you tried a reinstall/redownload?

What things have you tried to get it to run?

Your GTX 420 will not run TANR, must be at lest GTX 460 or better.
