Entering/Exit portals

I am having this problem in surveyor.I have tracks on flat lands and I am using magiclands subway tunnel portal.That is also on flat land but then I would raise the land where the tunnel is and level out the tunnel to flatland with no grades(not ascending or descending into the ground its just going through)
When I run it in Driver the train goes through the ground briefly and continues its journey in the tunnel.If someone can help me fix this problem of how tunnel portals work or I'm missing a piece dighole or something it would be appreciated.

I suppose no one is building a route where it goes into the ground in a tunnel.Right?

If I`m right the tunnel you`re using doesn`t snap to the grid points, if this is the case you need to put a 1x1 dugout at the ends.

I have no idea but I'll try that "dugout" thing.Any recommendations?

Not "dugout", but "dighole". There are several available in the objects rollout in Surveyor.

Ok thanks! So I place that dighole where the tunnel portal is infront of the tunnel or it has to be under the tunnel?
