I download 747-200 American (96914:287420) on the download station it listed under Vehicles, But when I open TS2010 it is lised under Buildings / Structures and not under Vehicles.

This is probably because it's not a drivable vehicle, but instead a scenery item. Old placable cars/trucks, buses, etc. are scenery items. In TRS2004 there different categories, and this is where these objects would have been found. In TRS2006 and above, these categories disappear so the category vehicle doesn't exist anymore.
