If you purchase the S&C you will get the BR9F plus a well planned route with scenarios. The BR9F will also include "Black Prince".

Well then i'm just up a creek without a paddle then.

I don't have trainz Classics nor am i willing to fork over cash for a route just to get a locomotive.

If i wanted to do the latter would of just stuck to Railworks ;)

Not unless the catch them during a steam sale my friend ;)

Welp, since i'm already here. Any of y'all know of any good freeware 2012 British routes?

Only way i'm getting these to work is to either get the S&C route or start searching the internet for a Torrent of trainz classic's!

Steam3 <kuid:311512:6002> it's the texture used for the Steam, suggest clone another Steam texture and edit the kuid to match.

<kuid:71662:52105> now <kuid2:71662:52105:3> BR Standard 9f Enginespec
Change to either:
BR Standard 9f Enginespec,<kuid2:101839:51004:1>
Standard 9f double chimney enginespec,<kuid2:101839:51005:1>
Both on DLS.

<kuid:101839:52044> Updated use <kuid2:101839:52044:4> BR Standard 9f Cab Black AWS, this is on the DLS.

You could consider contacting the author and very friendly ask him/her to consider uploading those missing dependencies to the DLS.
If you ask it polite enough, you might just get lucky.

That's just it. I'm not even sure that the author is even still around, given how old this asset is.

Alright then.

Now, how would i go about cloning anther steam texture?

Use one of these:

Smoke-Steam effect,<kuid2:101839:40001:2>
Smoke-Steam effect,<kuid2:101839:40004:1>
Smoke-Steam effect,<kuid2:101839:40008:1>
Steam16,<kuid:329364:1662>

In fact easier than cloning just change the loco config to use one of the above, remembering to change the kuid-table at the bottom as well.

Steam3 has been coming up on here for years.......just put it in the search box.

Somewhere in the posts is a link to download it from, or I think another solution was to just delete it from the config.

It really needs putting on the DLS, which I have mentioned in the appropriate places as it's a flipping Auran asset!
Having TC3 and SnC, it's never been a problem for me just the other hundreds of people who haven't got TC3 or SnC.
You were right about a link however it seems to have vaporised, think it was on mediafire or similar and probably not strictly legal.

They won't do anything about it because if you want it badly enough you will buy the payware route to get the assets.
I had to buy Tane Deluxe to be able to run a route. I didn't need or want the extra routes that came with it, but had no choice.
Cheers,
Mike

OK, i replaced the Espec and the steam effect. but i can't find <kuid2:101839:52044:4> anywhere on the DLS.

That's N3V for you, always trying to squeeze every last damn penny out of ya!

The above will continue to happen because N3V are a buissness not a charity. The foregoing is without doubt the way it should be if forum members wish to keep this hobby/interest ongoing into the future.
