Engines Wishlist for Jointed Rail.

ES44AC...in BNSF livery. :hehe: I don't really think it comes close. The most beautiful US diesel was probably the EMD E3, built from 1937:

Or perhaps EMC's A1A-A1A demonstrator unit:

(I know quite a few people will disagree with me on that last one!)
Oh man, the GEVO does come close, it is one of the most beautiful engines GE has ever made. It is that EMC demonstrator unit that doesnt come close at all, looked like someone barfed up the nose.

I do think more gevo's would be nice... something different than some of us are used to :)

The EMC has curves. The GEVO looks like it was designed on an Etcha-Sketch.

That made me laugh. The GEVO is basically a re-engined C44-9W, which are available at JR. What we really need is more passenger equipment, E9's, F9's, E3's, E8's, P30CH's, E60CP's, Sharks, PA1's and of course my beloved demonstrator units. Now that would be something different

There's one American loco I'd buy: NYC #999. Especially if it has a custom interior. A custom enginesound would be nice too.

How about the rebuilds the Juanita Shops are doing? like the SD60

http://

Yeah the admrial cab units are a bit ugly but it would keep SD60's running for a few more years

Actually the Admiral cab gives them a pretty neat look. Like they were in service in a dockyard or something, it's rather unusual and interesting.

These would Be great engines for an Upcoming Project

Thanks for setting it straight Deadpool. And the A4, while it would be nice, is not as good-looking as the American steamers. Call me crazy but that ain't gonna change. And those whistles sound horrible, get a Frisco 3 chime on a British engine and see what you think of it.

Your straying in to dangerous territory there. The A4's are the most beautiful steam locomotives in the world. American steamers have a powerful & rugged look, a look I like, but they're not really beautiful. They are some exeptions to that though, the streamlined Hudsons of the NYC and the PRR K4 are definitely beautiful.

It's a UK loco but...I think you might consider this one:
RapHs4000.jpg

1967-built diesel prototype Kestrel. It was sold to the USSR in the 70's, and is rumoured to still exist...
It has a really elegant shape, definitely the most beautiful-looking diesel locomotive ever built.
This is the Most Beautiful Locomotives
