Timber Ridge Line Redux

Wait, there is supposed to be a station at Redtop? I have Timber Ridge Line v4 and there is no station there.

I assumed that, due to the way the track was at Redtop and due to <kuid:47439:25701> Wingatui Station being faulty, that there should have been a station there.

Edit: Wait, there is a V4? What is the kuid? The version I got off the DLS is <kuid2:119493:1206:3>

Edit2: This is Wingatui Station in TS12. As you can see it ought to fit between the tracks nicely. It doesn't appear to be interactive.

The version you have is version 4. The basic settings session for it on the DLS says it is for TRLv4. The station is simply not there even in trainz 12. Its almost like it was there and was taken out to be replaced and that never happened.
EDIT: What kind of cliffs are you using at Redtop norm?

i'm trying out my new cliff splines and textures on this line
Screen%20Shot%202016-12-17%20at%201.01.36%20pm_zps0wfy309m.png

heres cllff spline 26 with accompanying ground texture that is taken from the photo i used for the rock face. This is on the 30 inch section of the route. probably could also do with some snow covered versions for the mountain area that is in snow season, that might be tricky, perhaps need to look for a photoshop tutorial or find some images of snow covered cliffs..... ...........

Thanks again for your fantastic TEXTURES, this is exactly the look I wanted get in my Hills, River Edges, Narrow Canyons etc,

I have fought with many different textures, and they distort on certain angles when you lay them as Hill walled areas, to the point I couldn't use several, they utterly look like you threw them on the wall, very unrealistic when you look them from any distance.....There are Route builders like Phil Skene and others who are masters for blending the Textures, but that is something I lack in for the Artistic aspect of Route building.........

And you gave a nice selection so there's lot's of diversity to hook them together for realistic looking Cliff Side or Water edge views.

They say you never really finish your route, so true, as I have 3-4 problem areas that your new Textures should completely fix for me once I get used to applying them.

Thank you for your hard work and sharing with us, I'm one very happy Camper, and what a nice Xmas present from you to us......

i'm very glad they are of use, i am going to keep working on these until i have a LOT of them and then i'll get stuck into trying to complete the more rocky parts of the cumbres and toltec, ( although still need 3d models of the hoodoos that dot the route such as phantom curve ) the good news is though that i have many ground textures so even without 3d versions with effort one should be able to create a good cliff like windy point that looks more like the real thing .
i now have about 400 creative commons images, I keep on finding lots on rock ciimber sites :) I've concentrated on the cliff splines and i may make about 10 more ) I'm now up to 29 ....
then i'll do the ground textures that are colorado/new mex/utah related .
then back to building routes. :)

I did recall that you can find the other kuids that I still have not found. Here they are.

Hope you can help.

just outside of redtop .trying out the new 'windy point' breccia spline , nice things about splines is their speed, placing this just took a few seconds .ok its not complete , but it saves so much time when you have a large route that needs spicing up.

Funny thing about those 30ng 4-4-0s and the ten wheelers. The Config has the reasoning for why they dont work in DCC and only work in cab mode. haha, go and check it out.

I suspect you mean this "For TRS2004 and TRS2006. Almost certainly not for TC3 and up." from the readme.txt. I didn't see anything in the config.txt.

Sure amazing locomotives for their age.

Dan those cliff splines sure add a lot to the route.

Hi Alec, nope can't help much, they are by Jango of TrainzItalia you might go over there and ask.

Oops missed your edit question, those are <kuid:124060:22015> Cliff 1 flat by Pencil42

Sorry, I forgot it was in the espec. Check there for a file labeled notes. I cant remember if i had found anything else that needed to be fixed in there when i downloaded them, been awhile. But in the notes it states how to make it so they work in DCC.

Got it, thanks for the go to. I learn something new every day. :D

Goodness! Look what I found

At http://30ng.webs.com/

Apparently not only did klinger create this nifty route he also made a "few" fictional 30 inch narrow gauge D&RG locomotives to go with it. :D

Quite a bit of work to get them into TANE but well worth the effort! I have not taken them out for a test drive yet and I assume there will be some problems to solve there as well.

Many other nifty things on that site too!

norm, I can't get a darn thing on that site to work. How did you get all the downloads?

Interesting. Malwarebytes blocks the download page.
When I click that off and try again, nothing comes. Permanently blocked.
Hmmm. Must be some outbound link, like Onno's links.

If you check you will see that some working download links go to http://30ng.webs.com but the non-working links go to http://www.30ng.com which I suspect was their old site.

If you replace the http://www.30ng.com with 30ng.webs.com the download works. EG; http://www.30ng.com/DRGWL25.cdp doesn't work but 30ng.webs.com/DRGWL25.cdp does.

Sorry, I should have mentioned that in the first post.

Edit: OK, it turns out that doesn't seem to work now. I have no idea what happened. I was able to get almost everything off that site yesterday. Weird!

Edit again: I suspect you might need to register at the site, going to the link's 404 and pasting the .web.com seems to work for me but I can't make any guarantees.

Edit again: corrected links.

Tried both http://30ng.web.com and http://www.30ng.com, and when I clicked on 30ng.com, it takes me to, of all things, a website about baby milk powder! I tried www.30ng.com, and I got nothing. I tried adding .web to 30ng.com and ended up being taken to the Charter search engine (my family uses Charter Communications for Internet, E-Mail, TV and Phone) searching for '30ng.web.com'.
