I love this!

When Trainz was first launched as the "Community Edition" back in 2001 it was being advertised as a "Model Railway Simulator", that is why I bought my original copy in November 2001. After 12 years it has now gone full circle and the popularity shown in this thread shows that the original was not far off, people want layouts, not necessarily worlds that take months or years to build.

It would be good if one of these layouts could be considered for inclusion with Tane, just to show that big is not necessarily better.

+ 1, Peter, and it certainly makes taking screenshots easier to make look realistic, don't have to explain how such an angle was achieved :hehe:

Looking good, guys, I'm racing to be the first to build a narrow gauge one, kinda hard when the features are all set to HO scale rather than O scale for On30, have to make new doors and calendars for myself! :p

Cheers

Unless I have missed something, why not use normal Trainz scale just as you would if you were making a normal route.

I am very tempted to have a go at re-creating Wallen as it was as an exhibition layout, but not tempted enough to actually do it.

G'day Peter,
Its not that the measurements aren't correct, its just that Adam's door is too big! :hehe: he built it to 87 times larger than a normal door so it would look HO, On30 is 1:48 so I require a door 48 times larger than normal :)

Nice shots everybody. An interesting concept you've all decided to take on.

Just one question, wheres the roof to keep the rain of your creations? :hehe: I don't think i've seen one yet!

I mean, think about it; you've got walls, doors, calendars, may as well take the next (il)logical step.

Matt.

CattyPatty's pictures show one thing we need to remember - turn shadows off. I shall be glad when I get my replacement PSU and can use my Trainz computer again and try my hand at virtual model railways. Like Narrowgauge I saw train simulators as a substitute for real model railways forced on me by moving from a large house to a small retirement bungalow.

I can't find these unknown dependencies for eso basement layout. Could someone kindly help out with these

Been following this thread, just wonderful ideas. Can't help thinking the next time Trainz is shown at a model train show, one of these routes being shown could peak a lot of visitors interest and maybe sell some copies of Trainz.
