Gorre & Daphetid bridges

I went to use the G&D route and all Ben Dorsey's bridges are now faulty. I tried to delete and reinstall them, but they still reinstall faulty. I can't even figure out why when clicking on faults and errors in CM. Any thoughts?

What are the errors?

You can highlight one of them. Press CTRL+C (Control and C at the same time) to copy and press CTRL+V to paste the error message here in the forums. It could be something as simple as fixing a texture, or perhaps replacing a missing track.

Thanks John...Here's what's coming up. Odd becuase I use the route often. Also odd becuase I resinstalled the bridges with the same result

Yes,
<kuid2:35412:38051:1> : VE221: <kuid2:35412:38051:1> is faulty and will not be loaded.
- <kuid2:210518:11458:1> : VE207: Attached track asset <kuid:35412:38051> failed to load.

First, make sure you have the track asset <kuid2:35412:38051:1>. If it is faulty, do the same thing and paste those errors here. The other issue may be that it is expecting the original un-updated <kuid:35412:38051>, and the new does not have the old in an obsolete table.

The obsolete track is installed, not faulty
The new track just has the typical warnings...

OK!...This is just weird. The bridges are back! They were showing as errors all day until I had time to post on here. Now I just went back in and they are back. Very strange.

The system may have been forced to look at the new version and decided it was not faulty. My guess anyway. Computers aren't smart, they just think they are.... :p

This may be a bit off topic.

Some years ago, before I discovered Trainz and the world of virtual model railroading, I had an interest in John Allen’s Gore & Daphetid. I ended up acquiring and then obtaining permission to post the only collection of the Gore & Dapetid photos that were not owned by Kalmbach Media, the publishers of Model Railroader Magazine. I chose not to publish those that were taken after the fire. Many of the other photos I incorporated into a website on John Allen’s Gore & Daphetid. Unfortunately, the movies were in .mov format and the Internet no longer displays them.

If you are interested you can view the website here: http://doug56.net/GD/

I am somewhat surprised by the continued level of interest in the site as indicated by the visits. But then again, John Allen’s Gore & Daphetid is a classic, and certainly one of the best model railroads ever created.

FWIW I've had a few times now where the only way to get CM to screw its gard back on right was to open the faulty/by faulty assets for edit and then revert them to original.

THEN it finally gets a clue and realizes the asset it said was faulty but also said had no faults was in fact fine. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

That's a fine one. it reminds me Why DOS never says excellent command or filename ?

and also If a trainstation is where the train stops, what's a workstation ?

Have a good day
