iTrainz Server Maintentance - January 22nd 2013

The iTrainz server will be taken offline for scheduled maintenance and updates from 12PM AEST Wednesday 22/1/2013. Trainz multiplayer, iTrainz chat services and DLC purchasing may be unavailable or unstable for several hours.

If you attempt to purchase extra content in game during this period and receive an error message from our servers, please simply retry your purchase (or use the appropriate 'redownload' button) a little later. You will not be double-billed for a purchase.

An announcement will be made when this work is completed.

Hi guys. All services are currently back up and running with the exception of our DLC servers. We've detected a hardware issue during the downtime and the DLC service will remain offline until this has been resolved.

Hi Everyone,

As part of the ongoing maintenance we are going to need to bring down the iTrainz server for a period of 1-2 hours.

I will update this thread once the server is back online.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

We are still performing checks on the system, at this time we do not have an ETA as soon as I have more information I will update this thread.

We are currently performing a RAID rebuild, unfortunately this is taking longer than we wished and should be completed overnight. Once we have had a chance to look at it further in the morning I will update again.

We are still having some issues with the disk rebuild process, unfortunately there is no way to speed this up we just have to wait until it is finished.

We have moved iTrainz to a totally new server (along with a massive hardware upgrade). Most iTrainz services should now be up and running and we will continue testing.


The Upload processing is still offline and we are working to get that back up and running as soon as possible however Multiplayer, Chat, DLC and all other services are up and running.

Those of you that have purchased DLC on the iphone/ipad versions of trainz you will need to reprovision your DLC. There is a redownload DLC button in the Extra Content menu for Trainz Driver and similar in Trainz Simulator for iPad. Instructions will also appear in a notification on your device soon.

We are pleased to announce that the Download Station upload processing is now back online. However, due to the extended downtime there is a significant backlog of uploads waiting to be processed. We will be running the upload processing at extra intervals in order to clear the backlog but this may take a couple of days.
