All downloaded content now appearing multi coloured and transparent ?

I have only recently been able to use the DLS again but everything I download is now appearing multi coloured and transparent......this also include splines.......i'm using windows 8........are there any adjustments I need to make to rectify this problem........would post a screenshot but windows 8 won't allow it.

Sounds like the old hardware compression problem raising it's ugly head again - you need to load up CMP, and under settings, make sure 'enable hardware accelerated texture compression' is not ticked (if it is, click the tick off). You then need to find every item that was affected by this problem, open it for edit, then recommit it to fix it.
