Central Valley CA

Hello
I would like to show you some screens from my fictional route located in Central Valley CA. It's been inspired by various SP and ATSF branchlines that were once pretty common in that area. The route is bassically a short branchline serving two small towns and it's focused on citrus industry. It's set in 70s/80s when PFE reefers were still a common sight. There are some packing houses and to add some variety in operations i included a few CO-OP warehouses and a lumber yard. The route is more or less done and i would like to have it released in a few weeks. Hope you like it.

Sheesh. First Miami now Central Valley? Two completely different environments and you've nailed both completely, from the other side of the world

Beautiful job - you've captured the area perfectly! Just looking at your screenshots took me back to when I was a kid living in Central California :)

I agree, I was born in Fresno, CA in 1979 and lived there till 1995. Reminds me a lot of the east side of the valley near Paso Robles as well as south and west of Fresno along highway 99 and the small foothill communities nestled near the Sierra Nevada mts.

Also, I remember vividly those PFE cars, along with the SP Golden Pig Service rumbling through Fresno. These days it seems the PFE cars have been replaced with a plethora of UP refrigerated cars with the ARMN prefix dotting the mainline from Sacramento to Bakersfield.

I was going down the 99, and on a rip track near (whatever town), I saw three PFE cars. Pretty good condition too. :)

Thank You guys. Your comments are really appreciated.
