that isn't an admiral cab... that would be a crescent cab.

You know, just a thought, they would look great as a flatcar load that is covered over with a tarp. A product from an off-site manufacturer.

Looks like we'll have more interesting power on the NS to catch. 
Not only is D8-40C #8305 (Seen in post #1 with the Crescent cab) getting a new cab, D8-40C #8306 is also getting a new one. But it will be a standard GE Widenose cab.
Just some possible designations for these units:
D8-40CWE
D8-40CW
D8-40CE
D8-40E
Also, something to note. D8-40C #8305 is 1 of 7 remaining Conrail painted units, and 1 of 2 in the older CR scheme (Other is D8-40C #8312).

At first I though that it was a photoshop. I think it looks pretty good. I did a quick search for admiral cab. This page answered my question plus has same good pics.
