That's a doozy of a route Don!
This is Nelson on the Hinton route by Gaypo50. I did spend a little time at rearranging things back to the 40's.
The Railfan caught an early morning L&A mallet heading a line empties heading for the mines in Kentucky leaving out of Norwood.
Here we have the consist the Railfan is chasing through the former Erie Canal right of way through Cincinnati as we can see a Zeppelin making its way to Lunkin Airfield.
Last a quick view of the Mt. Adams churches as our consist makes it to the L&A's mainline.

Steam may be old, but it always looks great. Wished I had been born 2 generations earlier to enjoy the reality.

The only one I see is ATSF 3751...When runs through California and someday maybe the big boy, the for now he is in UPPR Train Hospital for a major redo. I was lucky enough to see the move from California area several years ago....... Amazing site.....
