EMD London Closing

In Feb 2012, Progress Rail announced the closing of EMD London, Canada. In January the plant had a lockout due to labor costs. All work will be moved to EMD Muncie, Indiana. So sad to see an EMD plant closing...

First, went La Grange, now London. Oh well. But, there is one thing, at least they will still be made in the US.

I'm lucky enough to work on/drive one of the products from La Grange. Still has the manufacturer's plate on the side. That's it in my sig. Bit rusty these days but still runs well which isn't bad for a 50 year old. Hehe.
