There is no official multiplayer mode as such in TS2009.
There is limited support using the IPortal system, but this requires that the serial is registered.

Well first of all you need to go shopping and buy yourself a copy of Trainz. Try and purchase the new MP version called Trainz 12.
Second, you must register your new copy of Trainz.
Third, well this one comes when everyone can see you have a registered copy.
