Moving on we are now rolling into (my fictional version of) Winchester Kentucky. Winchester is served by 3 lines. The L&A, the Pennsylvania, and the N&W.

Hello Mr. Dave you can guess who this is as I am was wondering about the union station project and the transdem. However I have found the the Locomotive drawing for the 4-8-6 I was making and I need input you about if it will work as it looks and if you think it can be built.
 
I'm now staring another large raster map covered DEM map or part 2 of the L&A. This map runs a little east of Aberdeen, Ohio to just east of the outskirts of Cincinnati on the Ohio river. The Cincinnati will be the last map for the L&A.

Here is this part of the story of the Levi & Appalachian. The L&A in 1888 decided to to move the mainline "up the side of the hill" away from the shores of the Ohio river as it was originally laid because of floods washing out section of track. Although expensive it would payoff for the line as the mainline was expanded to a 4 track mainline and with a series of viaducts and elevated rails the company kept going even during floods. The 4 track main also made sure that both high speed passenger and freight along with heavy coal, freight, and local passenger operations would not get in the way of the booming growth of Cincinnati.

Below we see the beginnings of Ripley Ohio. The railroad originally went through town until the upgrade in service. Ripley has enjoyed the service the railroad has brought to town and now the town is enjoying it's elevated passenger station.

Whistles and engines

1. I love the assets you use but I believe that the engines need a whistle in my opinion the Steamboat whistle on NC&STL 576 would absolutely fit the j class and y6 for the L&A I've discussed with a friend and we both agree that a similar whistle and a pneumatic bell absolutely fit the bigger engines provided, 2. I've also found that both the Kanawha and Berks provided by Auran absolutely look great with the J class tender and would personally like to see if you can find a way to get a L&A berk on the L&A doubt it would happen but it would fit to see it. 3. what are the numbers for the Y6 meant to be? are they numbered like the n&w or are they up to interpretation.- Chad
 
Chad, these are great ideas. Being that my job is considered an essential job I'm at work right now. So as soon as I get home I'll start researching these ideas.

On a side note have you seen the L&A's newest triplex! There's a picture of it on the steam shots thread and it is on the DLS.

yes actually, I like the Idea but it kinda ruins the imersion seeing it get up to 55 at a slight touch. p.s. me and my friend called that whistle "The Whistlin' Pig"
 
I am missing this <kuid2:35412:28282:1> from the DMT Fixed people group. I assume it is a people where do I get it?

The reason I asked is there are missing assets that are in TANE but not my TRS19.

I imported all those too.

Your post reminded me I wanted to get back and revisit this route in the spring after being gone all winter. Nice spring green-up. Including some purple flowering trees. Great job Thai1On!

Presently I'm working on the next update. Strangely with most people being home I'm still working, but it appears to be slowing down. If I do join many of you on the stay at home list I should finish the update sooner.

The update will have a few more businesses, but the biggest change will be more signaling on the other lines i.e. NYC, PRR, N&W and so on. The other is I am interlocking all the diamond crossing.
