This is the "8. km - 524. km" railway - a 6 km long (not 516 km as one might assume) part of the Daugavpils ring railway. The line was disused and overgrown (picture), then reconstructed in 2010 to the condition which you can see in the picture. But for some reason the line is still out of use.

Latvia certainly has some interesting railway routes, all of which would make good candidates for a Trainz project. Ergli probably worth leaving for T:ANE, but my interest in narrow gauge (and deep forests) makes the Gulbene to Aluksne line at around 50km an ideal "quick" project.

Gulbene - Alūksne at the length of 33 km / 85 min would be a nice route in Trainz

As for deep forests - the Jelgava-Krustpils broad gauge line goes through the deepest forests we have. But the railway clearance is so large that you loose the feel of being in a forest... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5_y4vXiKz-Q
