Achievements?!?!?!?!

G'day All,
I am the sort of person that when I find out their are "achievements" in a game to complete I have to complete them all! So naturally I was stoked to see certain achievements to complete in TS10. Unfortunately, some of them do not seem to be working, in particular those relating to driving experience. When I go in and look at my achievements under driving experience none of the bars have moved despite countless hours spent driving various routes!! Does anyone know how to rectify this? Do I need to uninstall the whole game and reinstall? Or is it a knows issue that there is no fix for?
Also, does anyone know how to get the achievement for completing Avery - Drexel Northern Pacific Lookout Pass session? I have completed the session, arrive at Haugan stop at the red signal, and get the session complete message, yet it does not appear as complete in my achievements!

As with many other aspects of Trainz, the Achievements function seems to be undocumented. I hope you get an answer from someone in the forum. The one thing I miss from the days when I used MS Train Simulator was the evaluation that you could look at and save at the completion of each activity, thus keeping your own record of what you had achieved and providing an opportunity of improving your time/driving skill. Perhaps someone with more knowledge of exactly how Achievements should work and what its purpose is will reply and help both of us.

I guess no one knows... Hopefully it will be fixed in TS12!

I had the same problem but it didn't really bother me. Because of a completely different problem I had to reinstall the game and now it is working fine.

Sorry to revive an old thread, but Im wondering if anyone has found a fix to this issue? None of the Driving Experience Achievments have ever worked on any of my installs, including a 100% fresh install I just did last week. Seems that it only really records the Tutorial Achievments but nothing else. This applies to my TS2009, TS2010 and TS12 installs..

I might be just lucky but all the bars in my achievement categories seem to be responding correctly and recording progress.

session completion not recognised

I searched 'achievements' and found this thread after I finished 'Avery-Drexel - Milwaukee road' and it did not show up on my achievements panel. I completed it and saw the sign saying end of session, then continued to the red light, then quit.

Should I have quit while the end of session notice was up... or where up to?

I know its petty, just like to finish things. (I'm sure I'm not the only one) I'll always do achievement/scenarios to completion if I get a "tick" as opposed to just the self-satisfaction of driving somewhere on other sessions.

I have two hunches, but I could easily be totally wrong.
Hunch one is that some sessions don't like to be saved. I have completed some in one go and completed them, but the same session will not complete if saved, even if I never had any violations - recorded or not.
Hunch two is that certain sessions must be completed exactly as it was planned by the creators , timewise and everything else. Any slight deviation or contravention might cause non completion or non recording of progress. In some sessions - for example - if you pass a red light or and get away with it or go over the speed limit even once, at the end of the session it tells you that you have completed it but it won't be recorded because of one or more violations .
As I said , I could easily be wrong about this.

both are possibilities. I did save it and I did go over the limit sometimes.... But there did not seem to be any time limits. So may try it a bit slower and not save if possible.

Let me give you an example : In the N&W Westbound Merchandise Train session from Radford to Bluefield there is that @@**& red light at Bluefield that is spoken about in quite a few threads . ( will take you a few hrs to find it with the slow forum ) . If you pass that red light you get a violation. I managed to byepass it using other tracks , and completed all the shunting moves and moved on to Flattop yard, if you follow the tracks as set out by the game and you get to Flattop, it is a mission to place the vehicles like instructed by the popups. So I go back to the xover and take an easier route and do everything as required. no violations. But the popup says it will not be recorded because of rule violations. I think the yardmaster has had a few shots on the job too ....So it looks like one has to stick to the original instructions strictly , as soon as there is any deviation whatsoever you fail.
Going into surveyor and making any change also nullifies any progress. Perhaps if you go into the innards of the route or session files you change things to suit, I am no trainz specialist so I am not operating in that theatre anyway.
