  • Starting and shutting down option. (also fuel and sand consume)
  • Locomotive and interior motion* simulating related to train speed (like as real one) (also railcars)
  • Headlights realism.
  • Engine temperature gauge realism.
  • Engine RPM gauge realism.
  • Throttle and train brake arms motion realism.
:D

DE24000

Hello guys

My name is Safak Aktas. I'm the main creator of the Turkish State Railways rolling stocks for train simulations. Since 2001, I was creating models for Microsoft Train Simulator. Now, I have switched to the Auran Trainz Simulator 2010. My first model for the TS2010, is DE24326, which is a part of the DE24000 historic Turkish Diesel-Electric Mainline Locomotive family. Since 1970, 418 units have been built by Tulomsas and now more than 280 units are still working. For full history, please visit the following page
:

http://www.trainsofturkey.com/w/pmwiki.php/Traction/DE24000

The DE24326 is revised and upgraded by Tulomsas(Turkish Locomotive and Engine Industrie Inc.) to meet the 21th Century's needs. New upgraded DE24000's are very similar to their origins. Only small modifications have been applied to cab, to improve the usability, and some minor changes to engines. Following pictures show the original DE24000 series engine, DE24122 & DE24152:

Next two pictures, showing DE24064 & DE24347 revised engines:

I'm working on DE24326 since December 2010, along with learning the basics of Trainz Simulator 2010 and also writing scripts, recording sounds, creating 3D Cabview which is also have a detailed script file and many more features.
95% of the main body is finished:

To be continued...:)

Great job! It looks so realistic! I was at Haydarpasa last year and saw some passenger moves and just missed the freight train.

Thanks :)

Haydarpasa is one of the most beautiful railway stations in Europe. You can see many local, regional and mainline traffics through the station, just besides the "Bosphorus". I hope you liked it.:)

In 10 years, I have created almost 14 locomotives, over 40 freight and passenger cars, one route for MSTS and many objects, activities etc. Now, I'm only working on Trainz. All of my models will be free. After I finish DE24326, I will immediately start to work on the second Turkish mainline Diesel-Electric engine, EMD built DE22000 series.
DE22044, built for MSTS in 2006 and now is waiting for his brother DE24326 to hit the roads :D

I will inform the community about my projects and my roadmap. Thanks.

Best regards from Turkey

Those look really great!! I wish you'd offer some with western couplers. I'd "import" them to the United States and use them! :D

Thank you

Yes, we have this option as most of the DE22000s have been equipped with SA3 Half-Automatic couplers:

de2204002.jpg

Both chain and automatic couplers will be available as an attachment, so you can change it easily without pain.
DE22000s, actually an Electro-Motive Division built G26CW-2 engines with 2200hp and 440 kN (99,000 lbf) tractive efforts. A total of 86 locomotives were built between 1985–1989 in Turkey and all of them are now used in every electrified and non-electrified areas of Turkey. They are very familiar with the USA, because they have many brothers in your country(mostly GE U-boats). So, you can import and use them.:D

Best Regards

A question: in post #14 There is a freight car on the picture - what kind of car is that?

(offtopic)
And a today-news from Hungary:
Direct railway connection will be relaunched next summer between Hungary and Turkey (Istabul)
Maybe we will have Orient-Express again?...:hehe:
