The Best Trainz 2010 Content

Hey everyone I am new to this.I am a train buff and I recently got Trainz 2010 Deluxe for Christmas.I don't have much stuff but I am a huge fan of Amtrak,NJT,LIRR,MN,NYC Subway and CSX.I wanted to know where I can find the BEST stuff mainly tracks and trains.(Snow tracks,and normal high detailed tracks).I've seen some nice buildings but if anyone can give me a website or something where I can download some high quality stuff.Not much stuff came up on the DLS which is why I'm asking.I have magiclands stuff but it doesn't work.Thank You

Welcome but...

In my opinion/experiences Trainz 2010:Engineers Edition does not have as much content as other Trainz games mainly because of it newness and partly because of content being so great. The bar was set pretty high by the content that came with the game, in other words not every Joe can make exceptional models for the game. If we look at Train 2009: World Builders Edition as a model there should be plenty of content in lets say six months. Now to answer your question, try , and some content from Jointed Rail (.com) and rrmods(.com) and uslw(.net). Also attempt to look on your content manager included with the game make sure to add the search parameter "Minimum Build Version: 2.9". Finally the best stuff out there is payware, mainly from the sites I have mentioned above. Happy Hunting! This is assuming you are looking for US content!

I always use amtrak - already inbuilt is Amtrak F40PH 398 which goes with the Superline II Coach and is highly detailed. Also the best track is the default 2009 track (trs2009) which i cant seem to find in the game.

To keep it simple for now, click on Download Station at the top of this page. In the search filter click on "name", "Amtrak" or whatever you are looking for and then click on search. you can go as low as 2004, but anything from that version will need repairs to work in 2010. Have fun.

Ok thanks and yes some fleets from 04 are highlighted in red in surveyor then are downloaded but they don't show also in Railyard.Any way or patch I have2 download to fix this?

It means there are some errors in the assets that need fixing. I think there is a thread or two about it in the forum.

Basically you fix texture problems with something like GIMP or paint.net missing shadows with pev's shadow maker etc. Right click the item in content or CM3 then look at the errors.

In CM3.3 set the Search Panel to Name - Amtrak and click the + in the box to add another. Set it to Minimum build version - 2.9. This will cause CM3.3 to only list TS2009 or later kuids.
