base download and update simultaneously

I just realized that I have downloaded the Fall UMR2010, and am partway through the download of Fall UMR2010 update. When the Content Manager commits both of those at the end of the downloads, is it going to be smart enough to apply the update to the original package, or am I going to end up with a possible mess? I hate to stop the download as it takes so incredibly long.

Hmm, I wonder if you can go into File>Settings and on the Misc tab untick automatically commit when installing CDP's while it is downloading?

Good suggestion. Funny, though, when I set it to manual commit, it stopped the current download! Oh well. Problem solved.
